Coventry’s Premier Rec Team made a triumphant return to match action on Saturday night at the much-loved Grimsby Ice Rink, dominating all 3 periods to secure a convincing 16-2 win over the Grimsby Falcons.

Benefiting from extra ice time on the back of a 2-way contract with the Coventry Purple Cobras, gritty forward Warren Bennett led the scoring, posting 5+1 on the night. The Badgers' defense was bolstered by debutant Leighton Hunt, recently acquired from Coventry’s local Learn-To-Play side. The win was backstopped by Vinnie Meddings, joining Coventry’s Premier Rec Team under the club's successful Warwick University Car Park graduate programme.

The Honey Badgers will return to match action on home ice for the first time in 19 months on Saturday, October 23rd.
